About Saha Airlines

Saha Airlines closed in 2013 and when they suspended services they were operating the last B707 operating commercial flights. The Boeing 707 is considered a classic as it was the first commercially successful jetliner in the world. The B707 dominated the skies throughout the 1960's and 1970's so airplane enthusiasts used to come to Iran especially to fly on Saha Airlines and the last remaining B707's. Saha Airlines may no longer by flying commercially the B707 however in late 2016 the airline restarted passenger services with two other aircraft which are also now known as classics the B737-300's. Both of these aircraft were built in 1997 which by Boeing is classified as the Classic series.
Both of these newer classics ha retaken to the skies of Iran having been delivered to Saha Airlines in November of 2016. EP-SII - has previously been in service for Deutsche BA, Air Sahara, Air One, Air Italy, Transaero Airlines, Kyrgyzstan Air Company, and Taban Airlines. EP-SIJ -has previously been in service for Frontier Airlines, Corendon Airlines and Pegasus. Saha Airlines was first founded in 1990 by the Iranian Air Force who also operated the aircraft from their main hub at the time which was at Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport. As of 2017 Saha Airlines are operating to four domestic destinations within Iran only, so for airline enthusiasts a trip to Iran is a must. To fly on one of these classic aircraft Saha Airlines operate services to and from the following destinations only: Ahwaz International Airport Mashhad International Airport Shiraz International Airport Their operational hub is at Mehrabad International Airport in Tehran Iran.
